Overview

Corcentric, Inc.  a financial technology company headquartered in Cherry Hill New Jersey, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, creative, and self-starting staff accountant to join the Finance team. This person will be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including account analysis, adjusting journal entries, and annual audit support. The ideal candidate will have current experience working in a big four, national, or large regional public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for GL account reconciliations and proposes correcting adjustments
  • Supports the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules
  • Assists with preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and variance reporting
  • Prepares lead schedules and supporting analysis for external auditors as needed
  • Prepares account reconciliations and proposes correcting adjustments to resolve discrepancies
  • Analyzes rebate programs to ensure that accounting accurately reflects contract provisions
  • Supports special projects as needed
  • Assist other team members with their tasks when required

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Big 4, National, or large regional public accounting experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • Outstanding excel skills required (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.).
  • Great Plains experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines within the monthly close process
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to maintain/develop good working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Desire to learn new things and take on new responsibilities as the business progresses
