  • Overview

    This person will be responsible for managing the business life cycle of a portfolio of supplier programs, providing financial analysis of performance, promoting growth (fees and transactions) of existing supplier programs, and expanding portfolio with new programs.  This person will also serve as the primary resource on all matters concerning a portfolio of supplier programs to internal departments, external customers, and supplier management teams. Moderate travel is required to industry events, corporate events, and supplier meetings.


    1. Manage contractual supplier agreements including knowledge of current terms, monitoring supplier performance related to execution of terms, maintain currency of agreements, prepare agreement renewal proposals, present justification of term adjustments, and coordinate and follow-up with supplier through execution of new agreements.
    2. Serve as the primary authority on supplier matters related to program term verification, product or service pricing, and program incentives.
    3. Serve as primary liaison between the sales organization and the suppliers as related to customer feedback/issues concerning the supplier program.
    4. Develop and support initiatives to facilitate supplier engagement with the sales team including product /service training, joint customer visits, specific customer target profiles, and follow-up/reporting on results.
    5. Develop strategies related to expanding suppler opportunities in new market segments complimentary to the corporate business model.
    6. Prepare presentation materials to report on supplier performance initiatives, industry related trends, economic factors, and new program pipeline.
    7. Contribute/champion department projects related to improving efficiencies in the areas of reporting processes, department communication to internal/external customers, and achieving corporate plan objectives.  


    • Bachelor’s Degree in business studies (MBA preferred)
    • 8-10 years of experience in the fields of supply management, logistics, financial analysis, or agreement negotiations
    • A demonstrable progressive career path of increasing responsibilities and success managing supplier/customer relationships and financial performance related to duties
    • Effective presentation, analysis, communication, and follow-up skills in a time sensitive environment
    • Ability to champion resolutions to conflicts or issues in daily activities with minimal management supervision by engaging affected parties and addressing issues leading to resolution
    • Proficient in Microsoft business software tools; specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
