  • Overview

    The Marketing Communications Specialist will organize and manage the production and distribution of communications to all members of the NationaLease member organization. Primary responsibilities will include the assembly, editing, and production of a weekly, digital brand newsletter, as well as the development and distribution of a variety of communications to promote member meetings, and to support the management team in their outreach to members. The successful candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in business marketing with proven experience in developing, drafting, and editing corporate communications, as well as a working familiarity with the creation (writing and editing) of digital newsletters. Must also be proficient in proofreading for language, grammar, syntax, and style.

     

    This position will report to NationaLease’s Vice President of Member Services and will work closely with members of the marketing team that manage the NationaLease website and public relations.

     

    Must be able to write short news stories, member company descriptions, promotional emails, and website copy for meetings and events.

    Responsibilities

    • Weekly newsletter production and distribution
    • Weekly open reports on newsletter distribution
    • Marketing of meetings (registration, website, emails, etc.)
      • Updating of meeting attendee lists
      • Develop content for website updates, which currently entail biweekly meeting updates (send to Corcentric for posting)
      • Write meeting agendas, including session descriptions and bios, with information provided by the Events office.
      • Prepare and ship attendee name badges
      • Sponsorship solicitation for meetings
    • Maintenance of member mailing lists
    • NationaLease Tradeshow support
    • National Account Marketing
    • Assemble and prepare Quarterly Board Reports with content provided by Alvare Associates

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in corporate marketing environment.
    • Detail-oriented, superior organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to problem-solve and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate budgets and effectively manage expenses.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with HTML, event management technologies (Aventri), customer relationship management software (i.e., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), and Photoshop, Survey Monkey, InDesign, and Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, or a similar newsletter distribution platform.
    • Willingness to work with members of senior management is essential.
    • Willingness to travel.
